    Apologies for cross-posting...

Two opportunities that may be of interest to our MED Community

    1. For anyone looking for a great and challenging global virtual team project consider the X-Culture experience. The organizing group is looking for professors to join--especially those teaching outside of North America and Europe. Although started as an international business focused initiative, there are instructors from many disciplines.

    2. Check out the call for chapter proposals for "The Handbook of Experiential Learning in International Business" and share with your IB colleagues.

    Best wishes,

    Jen

    X-Culture Call for Participants

    Dear IB/IM Colleagues:

X-Culture is accepting applications for 2018-1 round (Aug-Oct and Oct-Dec tracks).

If you're teaching IB, IMgt, IMkt, or Entrepreneurship and want to add a real international business experience to your course, your students should participate in the X-Culture international business consulting project.

X-Culture is a partnership of 580+ business professors from 180 universities in 40+ countries. We're not a business. We're not selling a product. We're a partnership of business professors.

We put our students in global virtual teams (GVTs). About 6 per team, each in a different country. The students work on real-life international business challenges presented by real companies. The students basically serve as IB consultants, while also learning how to work with people from other cultures.

About 5,000 MBA and undergraduate students from 40+ countries on 6 continents participate in X-Culture every semester (50,000+ have participated in X-Culture so far).

Working in GVTs and dealing with time zones and cultural differences, the students spend a semester solving real IB challenges presented by our corporate partners.

No simulations. No games. Real international virtual teams. Real clients. No travel needed. All collaboration is virtual.

The best students are then invited to X-Culture Global Symposium where they meet their team members and top managers from the client company.

X-Culture recently won the Wharton's Re-Imagine Education Award in the Nurturing Employability category.
