    Dear Colleagues,

The latest issue of the Journal of Human Resources Education is now available.  This issue includes a variety of exercises and projects for classroom use. Adam Kanar describes an informational-interviewing assignment that actively engages students in the process of networking and provides an easy-to-implement experiential learning activity that teaches and reinforces HRM course concepts. In the second offering, Alysa Lambert outlines a course-long project that includes multiple assignments for learning how to strategically select candidates for a job. The project requires students to work with an organization to determine their needs and provide real-world solutions for increasing the effectiveness of their selection program. The third article, authored by James Smither, provides detailed instructions concerning an  experiential  exercise  that  teaches  students  to design, administer  (with a  high-fidelity  role-play),  and score a structured employment panel interview.

The final contribution to this issue is an article authored by Dave Vance, Executive Director of the Center for Talent Reporting. His article describes the recent adoption of a final rule by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that requires listed companies   to  disclose  material  information regarding their human capital, particularly with regard to attraction, development, and retention of employees. Implications for practitioners and academics are discussed.
