    The Department of Management and Information Systems in the College of Business at Mississippi State University invites applications for an Instructor of Management to start August 2022. This is a full-time non-tenure track position at the Instructor level to teach face-to-face and distance courses in Business Management at the undergraduate level.

    Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated history of delivering high-quality instruction in face-to-face and distance learning environments at the undergraduate level. A high level of commitment to high-quality instruction is expected in this position. A normal teaching load is four courses per semester. Candidates should have effective interpersonal skills, in addition to the knowledge, skill and ability to instruct students in various Management courses via distance and face-to-face. Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of management courses each semester, such as such as Principles of Management, Organizational Communications, Introduction to Human Resource Management, Responsible Leadership among others at the undergraduate level. Candidates should have a commitment to serve as a team player and provide appropriate levels of service within the department, college, and university as needed. Finally, candidates will be expected to conduct sufficient applied research to maintain academic qualification for this position.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Successful candidate must have a Master in Business Administration or in a closely related field. Prior teaching experience at an undergraduate level.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ph.D. in Management or a related field. Ability to teach a variety of Management courses such as Business Policy, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management, Principles of Management and Responsible Leadership.
