Dear fellow MED member,
I previously posted about TLC 2020 Best Session Award-winning workshop on "Bringing Humor to Management Education: Lessons from Collaborating with a Stand-up Comedian" and the resulting humorous educational video on expectancy theory of motivation (this was part of a long-term project at TBS Business School that is currently a finalist for The Association of MBAs' 2021 Best Innovation Strategy Award). I wanted to add two points in this regard that may be of direct interest to you as a management education innovator:
- We have created a resource page that, in addition to the workshop and the humorous video also includes such goodies as an eye-tracked version of the video, a "making-of" video, and multiple-choice questions with video answers by a co-creator of our video: https://www.tbs-education.com/expectancy-theory-of-motivation/ As before, a 12-page teaching note can be ordered at no cost from https://tbs.bs/obeid
- QS-Wharton's Reimagine Education initiative has just published an article ("An educator and a comedian walk into a bar….") where we share our recipes for making humorous educational videos so others can easily engage in similar projects – I like to think of it as a companion piece to our workshop: https://www.reimagine-education.com/making-humorous-educational-videos/

Best regards,
David
