IBA, Center for entrepreneurial development (CED), Karachi was formed in 2010 to promote values-based entrepreneurship to promote new venture creation which is environmentally, socially, and ethically sensitive. 

The faculty at the center developed a model called the Entrepreneurship PLUS Model. The model starts with meaning and purpose in life and enables the participants to work for some noble cause leading to eschatological pursuits. The model then highlights the importance of values like humility, forgiveness, gratitude, and courage. A life of meaning and purpose and values enhances the effectuation skills in a very interesting way leads to venture creation which is environmentally, socially, and ethically sustainable. The whole effort makes the individual humble, caring, and closer to God and a source of blessing and peace for humanity. (Fig 1 The E-Plus Model)

The faculty at IBA has developed a curriculum comprising case studies, reading material, assignments, and experiential exercises to teach the E Plus Model. Around 20,000 participants have benefited from this model in the past 10 years. This model has been taught internationally in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. This model has been applied in various settings i.e. Entrepreneurship, Women Entrepreneurship, Technology Entrepreneurship, Vocational Entrepreneurship. and to eradicate poverty. This model has been transferred to other universities to help the student start with the least amount of resources. 

Very recently an online course was offered during the COVID 19,  Pandemic, and proved to be a great success. Around 4200 participants participated.
