    The Management & Organizational Behavior Teaching Society is excited to once again be able to offer the opportunity for doctoral students and junior faculty members (in years 1-5 in academia) to apply for full scholarships to the MOBTS 2019 <g class="gr_ gr_164 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del" id="164" data-gr-id="164">preconference</g> workshops and general conference at Ramapo College (Mahwah, New Jersey).

    These scholarships include registration to our <g class="gr_ gr_154 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del" id="154" data-gr-id="154">preconference</g> workshops, general registration, room and board, and more.

    Doctoral Institute (DI)

    The DI is a workshop that focuses on teaching philosophies, negotiating an academic job, effective teaching and learning, and a variety of other topics critical to building the solid foundation you need as you head into seeking and succeeding in your first post-doctoral position.

    The DI begins at <g class="gr_ gr_158 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="158" data-gr-id="158">3pm</g> on Tuesday, June 4th and concludes at <g class="gr_ gr_160 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="160" data-gr-id="160">5pm</g> on Wednesday, June 5th (at which time the general conference begins).

    A Doctoral Institute Scholarship includes the following:

    • Preconference workshop registration
    • General conference registration
    • $200 travel stipend
    • On-campus room and board
    • Tuesday evening reception with the Board of Directors
    • Tuesday night off-site dinner
    • Collaborative Saturday morning presentation which will be listed in the conference proceedings
    • A one-year membership to MOBTS.org
    • A one-year subscription to the Journal of Management <g class="gr_ gr_162 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="162" data-gr-id="162">Education</g><g class="gr_ gr_162 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="162" data-gr-id="162">and</g> Management Teaching Review

     The total value of this competitive scholarship is over $1,000.

     Early Educator Institute (EEI)

    EEI scholarships are available to junior faculty members currently in their first through fifth years of teaching. The goals of the EEI include:

    • Providing opportunities to increase self-awareness around teaching preferences, learning styles, and how to frame a teaching experience for students
    • Exploring a wide variety of approaches to pedagogy, demystify some of the approaches to pedagogy, and recognize that not every pedagogical approach works for everyone
    • Start to develop your pedagogical identity by asking you to consider: What do you want your students to learn? Who are your learners? What learning experience should you provide that meets their needs?
    • And much more!
    • The EEI begins at <g class="gr_ gr_157 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="157" data-gr-id="157">3pm</g> on Tuesday, June 4th and concludes at <g class="gr_ gr_159 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="159" data-gr-id="159">5pm</g> on Wednesday, June 5th (at which time the general conference begins).
