    Dear colleagues,

In response to requests for extension, we have extended the abstract submission deadline for the JOOP special issue 'Workplace Coaching at the Crossroads - Advancing Insights into Coaching Process and Context' to February 15th, 2023.

Please see the call on the JOOP website for further details, including timeline, potential topics and research questions.

In this special issue, we argue that coaching as a discipline and profession is now at a crossroad. Taking the path one way requires the continued leap of faith that coaching delivers desired outcomes and remains a development activity of choice. Taking the path the other way requires more critical engagement with theoretical considerations as well as the boundary conditions of organizational context, mode of delivery as well as the actual intended purpose. Therefore, we are looking for papers that demonstrate high levels of theoretical and methodological rigour in developing and advancing our understanding of how and why coaching works.

JOOP has an Impact Factor of 5.119 (2-year, Journal Citation Report. Thomson Reuters, 2022). It is ranked '4' on the UK Chartered Association of Business Schools Academic Journal Guide 2021 (ABS List), 'A' on the Australian Business Dean's Council Journal Quality List 2019 (ABDC list), and 'B' on the German VHB-JOUQUAL 3.

Please feel free to share this call for papers within your network.

Any questions regarding the special issue should be directed to either myself or my co-editors, Dr. Gil Bozer (bozer_g@mail.sapir.ac.il), and Prof. Almuth McDowall (a.mcdowall@bbk.ac.uk) by copying the other editors into your communication for transparency.

    Kind regards,

    Silja Kotte
