Subject: Using AI in Teaching
Isn't it important to encourage students to learn AI methods such as ChatGPT-4o to prepare them for the real world of business? How can we do so ethically? If students use AI to generate text for papers, writing assignments, etc., is it ethical to use applications such as Quillbot to paraphrase the AI-generated text? Of course, we need to check references to avoid hallucinations, but is requiring students to include in-text citations that match real references sufficient? Is requiring students to declare how they used AI enough? Is GPTZero sufficiently accurate to detect AI-generated content, or are there too many false negatives and false positives? What are the best practices and recommendations for using AI in teaching?
