Hello colleagues in teaching and learning-
In this time of deadlines, this is a friendly reminder that the submission deadline for the MOBTS Conference (the conference formerly known as the OBTC) is January 22, 2019. Submission information follows-- join us at Ramapo College June 5-8!

    Submission guidelines are here.

As management educators we have immense scope in influencing our students' world views.  We can use our platform to evoke confidence in our students to not only become leaders, but to become agents of positive change as they transition from students to career professionals in today's challenging social environment.  With so many opportunities to inspire students and our colleagues to effect positive social change, the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society invites you to submit to the 2019 MOBTS Teaching Conference at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Join us in extending our long-standing conference tradition of providing innovative, interactive and experiential sessions.   Please submit proposals which share best practices in management education; create a dialogue of relevant issues in management education and/or facilitate effective teaching and learning. Sessions of all kinds are welcomed, including interactive exercises, teaching cases, round table discussions, presentations of new classroom innovations in management education, experiential learning exercises, and forums.  Whatever your teaching passion may be, come share it with us!

If your submission targets the conference theme, "Teaching Agents for Positive Change" please inform us during the submission process so your session will be included in a special track dedicated to the conference theme.  For example, submissions which target the theme Teaching Agents for Positive Change might do any of the following:

    • Present classroom exercises or projects which focus on creating positive change in the work and social environment
    • Generate dialogue around students "learning to lead with empathy"
    • Demonstrate classroom tools which develop leadership and collaboration strategies necessary for achieving positive change
    • Provide unique ideas for helping students identify their character strengths and put them into action
    • Discuss how ethical decision making can be used to create positive change

    §

Sessions, themselves, should be interactive and experiential and may be 30, 60 or 90 minutes in length.  All submissions will be blind reviewed.
