    The Department of Management in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified applicants for an instructor position for the 2022 – 2023 academic year, beginning August 15, 2022. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, nine-month, non-tenure track appointment with the potential for renewal. Hiring is contingent on final budget approval.

    Responsibilities

    Job responsibilities include effectively teaching a combination of face-to-face and online courses with primary responsibility for an undergraduate course in business communication and career readiness, and complying with all Department, College, and University regulations. Instructors normally teach four or five 3-credit courses per semester depending on qualifications, but instructors may receive course reductions for significant service responsibilities. In addition to multiple sections of the business communication/career readiness course, the instructor may be required to teach undergraduate management courses such as Introduction to Management, International Management, Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management.

    Minimum Position Qualifications       

    A Ph.D. in management or closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school of business is strongly desired (ABDs will be considered). College teaching experience is required, and on-line teaching experience is desired. Relevant academic training and/or significant related experience sufficient to qualify under existing AACSB business accreditation guidelines are required.
