    Greetings from AMLE,

We have a number of exciting news items to share that might be of interest to colleagues across disciplines, so I hope you can bear with me that this information is shared across AOM email list-servers. Let me get straight into it:

    1. A new Call for Papers for submissions to a Special Issue to AMLE. The title is:

    Building Theory on Leadership Development

We are thrilled to work with special issue guest editors Hannes Leroy, Moran Anisman-Razin, Bruce Avolio, Lisa Dragoni, Steffen Giessner, and Niels Van Quaquebeke to realise this great special issue project. The special issue editor team is supported by AMLE AEs Arran Caza and Todd Bridgman.

    Deadline: 15 December, 2024

    2. Our in-press menu features several new articles/essays that are likely to be of interest to AMLE and general management scholars.

We have four highly read essays/articles on offer for you that fit the AMLE themes of the business of business schools and management education:

    - Peter Fleming and Bill Harley's essay on collegiality as double-edged sword in the context of managerial control

    - Betina Szkudlarek and Mats Alvesson's article on Doing Silence: How Silence Is Produced in Meetings

    - Gilles Grolleau and Luc Meunier's essay on Legitimacy Through Research, Not Rankings:

                - Rowland Curtis's article on Immanent Thinking in Critical Management Education

    3. Finally, a reminder that we offer a new outreach activity "Talk to the editor".

This initiative is designed as opportunity to obtain valuable feedback during a 30 minute video call with an AMLE editor before formal submission. Please note that terms and conditions apply.

That's it for today. I hope this newsflash contained information that spark your interest.

    Best wishes
