I thought my last warning message regarding Scott Ott's "Absurd"
posting warrants some explanation. I received the following message
from Scott Ott:
Dear Charlie,
I'm trying to send a noack norepro command to the listserv
MG-ED-DV and my e-mail software keeps telling me the address
has been crossed out. The reason I'm doing so is because I fear
that the list and I may get into an endless loop. My e-mail software
is automatically sending a reply to any one who requests excerpts
from the Management of the Absurd book. Your list sends me an
acknowledgement with the word "absurd" in it, and that triggers my
automatic reply. I don't want to get into a reply war with the list.
Do I need to do something to prevent this?

Well!? I hesitate to characterize this situation but have attempted to
address it in several technical ways.
