    Dear MED Community members,

Are you planning to join us for the AOM 2026 Conference in Philadelphia? We want to ensure our members have every opportunity to attend and contribute to our vibrant sessions.

If travel costs are a barrier for you, please consider applying for the MED Travel Awards 2026. These awards provide up to $500 to help cover transport, accommodation, and subsistence.  You can still apply.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To qualify, applicants must:

    • Be a registered member of the MED Division.

    • Have paid AOM membership fees for 2025–2026.

    • Attend the conference in person.

    Selection Priorities

While all eligible members may apply, the committee prioritises:

    •  Doctoral students from developing countries.
    • First-time recipients of MED financial support.

    • Active participants in MED-sponsored sessions (presenters, organisers, or panellists).

    Important Update for Previous Applicants

If you have already submitted your application, there is no need to apply again.

We noticed a few incomplete details in some recent submissions. If you have not heard from the MED team by 15 May 2026, please send a brief email to Dr Paul Joseph-Richard at p.joseph-richard@ulster.ac.uk to ensure your application is in order.

    Key Deadlines & Application

We process applications on a rolling basis at the end of each month. Because funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, we highly recommend submitting your application as early as possible.

    • Next Deadline: 30 May 2026 (Final deadline is 30 June 2026).

    • Notification: Decisions are typically communicated by the 15th of the following month.

      Dr Paul Joseph-Richard,
      Doctoral/PhD Director, MED

Note: These awards do not cover conference registration or membership fees.
