    Dear Colleagues,


    The Department of Business at the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) has an active search for an Associate or Full Professor in Management (tenure-track, starting Fall 2026, but of course open to Spring 2027 start). We are open to visiting and limited-term appointments as well.


    A bit of context on the program itself: our Business Administration program is ranked No. 1 in Bulgaria in the national university rankings, and our Executive MBA is well-regarded regionally, with graduates earning the highest average income among EMBA alumni in the country. It's a strong, well-supported place to build a teaching and research career.


    The role: six courses per academic year across Management, Sustainability, and/or Entrepreneurship, alongside research, student advising, and department/university service.


    We're looking for someone who:

    • Holds a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related field
    • Currently holds the rank of Associate or Full Professor
    • Has a research record commensurate with that rank
    • Has taught college-level courses in English, ideally in a liberal arts environment (or is open to adapting to one)
    • Brings a collegial, collaborative disposition

    We especially welcome applications from candidates already habilitated in Bulgaria or another European country (similar to the     habilitation à diriger des recherches in France), including the required scientometric profile most notably with a scholarly monograph.

    A bit about AUBG: a small, residential, American-style liberal arts university in Blagoevgrad, southwest Bulgaria - about 1,300 students from 40+ countries, faculty representing 23+ nationalities, an hour from Sofia, close to the Greek border.
