    Hi,

I will teach a third year core course in Organization Theory next term.
The text I will use is "Organization Theory: Text and Cases," 3rd
    edition by Gareth R. Jones.

Could you please share any activities, learning games, and thoughts you
think will help me maximize the students' learning experiences during
    this course.

    Sincerely,

    Ralph

Sounds strange but works: separate students into small groups (3-5) with
substantial assortment of Tinker toys: they build an organization using some
guidelines (your ideal department, division, association, etc. vs. current)
or use the same case (current vs. what should be). You can digitally
photograph results for future reflection over time. Almost always, students
create fun and fascinating, insightful models showing why most organizations
are observably dysfunctional in some respect, and the idealized models show
precisely how simple it could be. Takes about half and hour to build and lots
of time to debrief and discuss.
