The cross posting is because the subject has turned up on all these lists
at one time or another. A comment I've made on several occasions on all
the lists is that the basis of reengineering and process improvement traces
back to the work of Taylor et al. I've also made mention of Allan
Mogensen, a disciple of Taylor's, and a fellow whose methods improvement
work has often been cited by Peter Drucker. I indicated a while back that
I had a really good article by Mogensen (circa 1949) from Factory magazine
that I would be putting up on my web site. It's there, in .pdf format. Go
to the URL below and look under the Work and Management heading for an
articled titled "Carry Out A Methods Improvement Program."
