ELAB POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Application Deadline March 1, 2001
The eLab (http://ecommerce.vanderbilt.edu) Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program
is a two year position, offered by the Owen Graduate School of Management
at Vanderbilt University in the City of Nashville. Two post-doctoral
fellows will be selected for the inaugural year of the eLab post-doctoral
program.
Details of the program are available at:
http://ecommerce.vanderbilt.edu/fellowship.html
These fellowships are designed to provide financial and intellectual
support for outstanding scholars early in their professional careers. In
addition, the fellowships are intended to facilitate a scholar's transition
into research and teaching in the area of electronic commerce, within the
disciplines of Marketing, Organization Studies, Economics, and Strategy. We
are interested in candidates who seek to specialize in one of these
disciplines, as well as candidates with an interest in interdisciplinary
work. As a primary goal, fellows are expected to produce high quality
publishable research.
Candidates must have completed, or expect to complete, a Ph.D within six
years prior to their initial appointment. We will consider applicants with
Ph.D's from a wide range of disciplines, including the social sciences,
business, computer science, economics and statistics.
The two-year fellowship offers compensation of $50,000 per year plus
benefits, with additional compensation of $10,000 provided for teaching two
7-week courses per academic year. Thus, if the fellow elects to teach,
total compensation will be $60,000.
Fellows will have plentiful opportunities to pursue their own research, and
will be provided $5,000 per year in research support. The target starting
date, August 15, 2001, is flexible.
