The OBTS board is proud to announce a new initiative for OBTC 2015.
For many years, we've had a successful Doctoral Institute (DI). This year, we will also launch an Early Educator Institute (EEI).
Like the DI, the EEI will be a pre-conference one-day workshop.
Beginning Tuesday, June 16 at 5PM and ending Wednesday, June 17 at 5PM, participants will get a crash course focused on good teaching.
Many of the topics will be parallel to the DI (e.g., learner-centered teaching; how to build an effective syllabus); others will feel more relevant to those already working their way through the promotion process (e.g., how to make a case for pedagogy in the T&P packet).
Scholarship recipients receive the following:
* Registration for the one-day Early Educator Institute and the following four-day Teaching Conference
* All meals, dormitory housing, and social activities for the EEI as well as the Teaching Conference
* Membership in OBTS for one year to OBTS.org
* A one-year subscription to the award-winning Journal of Management Education
* Presentation opportunity - as part of the EEI, participants will jointly prepare a conference presentation to be delivered by the group on the Saturday of the conference. All participants will be listed in the conference program and proceedings.
There is a limited number of competitive scholarships to be awarded.
Apply soon! The deadline for applications is March 31st.
