EIGHTH ANNUAL US EDUCATION FAIR
MOSCOW, RUSSIA
OCTOBER 5-6, 2001
The Moscow Education Information Center (EIC) invites all US university and
college recruiters interested in diversifying their enrollments to its
Eighth Annual US Education Fair in Moscow, Russia.
On October 5-6, 2001, recruiters will have the opportunity to meet with
approximately 3,000 students interested in studying in the United States.
Over the past several years, the number of Russian students currently
studying in the United States has risen to more than 7,000. In fact,
students of Russian origin now constitute the second largest contingency of
European students, surpassing France and the United Kingdom. (NAFSA:

The Moscow EIC is the largest US government-sponsored source of information
on US education in the New Independent States, serving over 55,000 clients
interested in studying in the United States each year. The EIC is sponsored
by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of
State and administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board
(IREX).
