Conference Website:

Dear Colleagues,
I encourage and welcome your submissions of research and conceptual
papers, symposia, professional development workshops, practitioner
sessions, and new research ideas (works-in-progress). We are planning a
highly interactive, innovative conference this coming year in New Haven
with a focus on presentation formats that support greater dialogue,
synergy, and learning (thanks Joan Weiner!). We will also be taking the
time to look at how we can build a stronger year-round Learning
Community that supports each of us in our professional development
(thanks Joel Harmon!).
Papers and session proposals should be emailed to each of the Stream
Leaders (i.e., Track Chairs). The Streams and contact information are
listed on the EAM website at
http://mars.acnet.wnec.edu/eam. Please
also visit the website to learn more about the various types of
presentation formats we will be using. Make sure to familiarize
yourself with the Open Space Technology information on the website,
since Open Space will be an important element of this conference. Our
conference theme is Creating Enlightened Organizations, and we are
working hard to create an Enlightened Conference that will be very
meaningful and rewarding to you personally and professionally.
Papers will go through the normal peer review process, and if accepted,
will go into the EAM Proceedings. This will be true regardless of the
presentation format at the conference.
The submission deadline is November 30, 2001. All submissions will be
made electronically to the Stream Leader. Please send your submission
as an attached MS Word document.
All Stream Leaders are looking for reviewers. This is a great way to
get involved in EAM and to support your own and others scholarly
development. Please contact the Stream Leader in your area of interest
and volunteer to be a reviewer. We need your help.
New Haven is very easy to get to and has a great downtown with wonderful
restaurants, theaters, museums and shops, and our Local Arrangements
Committee is planning some delightful events. We look forward to your
submission and to having you join us at the Eastern Academy of
Management conference in May!
