Dear All,
It is wonderful to see your commitment and interest in quality education
for current and future generations of post graduate students. Thus it is
with great expectations that I solicit your assistance in urging all your
first or second year doctoral students to attend the Academy's New Doctoral
Student's Consortium in Denver Colorado in 2002.
The New Doctoral Student Consortium is one of the Academy of Management's
premier pre-conference events designed for new first and second year
doctoral students. It is free to attend and aims to equip students with
essential knowledge in how best to manage all aspects of life as a doctoral
student - including entering the academic profession; doing quantitative
and qualitative research; publishing; networking with peers locally and
internationally; and generally getting the most out of the Academy of
Management experience. This one-day interactive session includes
presentations and discussions by leading management scholars, and active
panel discussions by both senior doctoral candidates and practicing academics.
Registration is essential as we only have room for 150 students. For more
