INVITATION TO JOIN THE MED PROGRAM REVIEW COMMITTEE

You are cordially invited to join the 2002 Program Review Committee for
the Management Education and Development Division (MED) of the Academy
of Management (AOM). Simply fill out and return the form below by
    e-mail (submission@ubmail.ubalt.edu) or fax (410) 837 5675.

As a member of the Program Review Committee you will be asked to review
paper and / or symposium submissions for the 2002 AOM meeting in Denver,
Colorado. To ensure a quality program, we depend on a group of talented,
committed, and thoughtful reviewers. Thus, I hope you will give our
division some of your valuable time and serve as a reviewer.

If you agree to serve as a reviewer, please make sure that you will have
time during the second half of January to complete the reviews. By
January 11 you will receive three submissions by e-mail or fax, and will
be asked to send back your reviews by February 1st (also by e-mail or
fax). The Academy calendar works on a tight schedule:

    - January 4: Academy submission deadline (papers and symposia)
    - January 11: MED will send you 3 submissions for review (with
    instructions and review forms).
    - February 1st: MED must receive your reviews by e-mail or fax
    - mid-February: MED must submit its entire program to the Academy

We have a very active and committed Division and I know you will find
participating in the program review committee to be a stimulating and
    enjoyable experience!

The conference theme for the 2002 AOM meeting, "Building Effective
Networks," is what MED is all about. The Call for Scholarly Program
submissions is online at http://aom.pace.edu/med/ or
    http://home.ubalt.edu/rbento/med/

In serving as a member of the Program Review Committee your contribution
will be duly recognized in a number of ways:

    * You will receive formal recognition of your effort in a letter from
    MED.

    * You may be invited to act as a discussant of papers during a session

    * You may be invited to Chair a session

    * You may be awarded a "BEST REVIEWER" Award. All substantive,
developmentally helpful and professionally crafted reviews have
excellent prospects for selection as Best Reviewer Award winners! All
award winners are recognized at the MED business meeting.

Your quality reviews will also assist us in providing due recognition to
the best papers and symposia submissions.

Please complete the Program Reviewer Information form below and return
it to me by e-mail or fax. If you know people who would be great
reviewers, please encourage them to participate and complete a form as
    well.

I look forward to working with you.

    Best wishes,

Regina Bento, MED 2002 Program Chair
