    The Management and Marketing Department of the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University (SU) invites applications and nominations for two management faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. The preferred areas of specialization are strategic management and entrepreneurship. The appointments will be effective for the Fall 2002 semester.

    About the Perdue School: One of four schools in the University, the Perdue School has 37 full-time faculty and 1300 declared majors. The Management and Marketing Department is the largest of four departments in the school. The Perdue School offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration (with specializations available in Finance, Management, Marketing Management, Economics, and International Business) Economics, and Management Information Systems. The Perdue School also offers a Master of Business Administration degree. Both undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by the AACSB.

    About the University: Founded in 1925, Salisbury University is located on Maryland's scenic Lower Eastern Shore between the Atlantic Ocean beaches and the Chesapeake Bay, 2-3 hours from Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Norfolk. Part of the University System of Maryland, SU currently offers 44 bachelor's and master's degrees in the liberal arts, science and technology, education, allied health, social work, and business disciplines. All four SU schools are endowed. For four consecutive years, SU has been cited nationally as one of the top 10 public, regional universities in the North by U.S. News & World Report and also has been recognized by the Princeton Review and Kiplinger's magazine. With a student population of 6,670, SU has a full-time faculty of 290, an annual operating budget of approximately $79 million, and annual contract and grant revenues of approximately $4.5 million.

    Qualifications:
    Candidates are expected to hold earned doctorates in management from AACSB accredited schools, or be ABD, and have strong records in both teaching and research and the potential for successful university service (business experience is a plus). The optimal candidates will be prepared to teach strategic management and/or entrepreneurship, as well as principles of management.

    Appointment Information: Appointments will be at the Assistant Professor rank. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
