Hi everyone!
I've enjoyed reading the debates and dialogues on the list. I hope
that some of you
will consider putting these ideas into writing for AMLE, the new Academy
journal on teaching and education. Here's an annoucement:
The Academy's newest journal, Academy of Management Learning and
Education, is now accepting manuscripts for publication. The mission
of AMLE is to examine pressing issues in the fields of management
learning and education by publishing high quality scholarship and by
providing a forum for exchange. It will present theory, models,
research, critique, dialogues and retrospectives that address the
learning process, and enhance the practice of education in the
management disciplines. AMLE is an interdisciplinary journal that
broadly defines its constituents to include scholars, educators,
program directors and deans at academic institutions as well as
practitioners in training and development and corporate education.
AMLE is looking for four types of contributions:
Refereed Articles. We seek a variety of articles, including
quantitative and qualitative empirical papers, theoretical discourses
and models, and general or specific appraisals and descriptions of
effective approaches to individual learning and management education.
Exemplary Contributions. Exemplary contributions are invited from
prominent scholars and practitioners. Please do not submit uninvited
manuscripts for this feature. However, do suggest individuals who
have made significant contributions to individual learning and
management education, and who should be encouraged to write for AMLE.
Essays, Dialogues, and Interviews. We are interested in a wide
variety of materials: commentary, critique, discussion and debate on
current and future trends and directions in teaching, learning and
management education. New and provocative pieces are encouraged, as
are articles and essays responding to or complementing materials
published in previous issues.
Reviews.
All reviews relevant to individual learning and management education
(books, videos, simulations, exercises, etc.) will be designated and
coordinated by the Review Editor. While unsolicited reviews will not
be accepted, please contact us you would like to see particular
reviews conducted, or would like to review for this section of the
journal.
Further Information:
For information on submission of a refereed article, or a
contribution to any of the other three sections, see AMLE's website
at
http://aom.pace.edu/amle/ . Note that different editors
handle different sections.
