Dear all,
I am looking for references and information on designing "Train-the-
Trainers" programmes for Management/business educators. I was tasked
recently to propose a modular-based Management Development Programme for
business/management educators and consultants/trainers.
The target group would consist of business and management professors coming
mainly from universities and consulting firms/training centres in the Arab
world. Currently, there is an apparent and clear disconnection between
Business Schools and their local corporate communities in the Arab world.
The goal is to expand the current role of Business Schools from business and
management education into executive education and training to their business
communities.
The overall all objective of the programme is capacity building in Arab
Business and Management Schools to be able to provide modern management
development & training workshops to their business and corporate
communities. The curriculum of the TOT would include workshops on IT-based
delivery of management training and development courses in addition to the
different adults learning theories. The total length of the programme would
about 9 weeks and divided into three residential modules of 3 weeks each (in
Granada) with one month between modules using distance learning platform.
Information and suggestions on design issues and what the curriculum should
include would be highly appreciated. Finally, I would be very interested
know of any Management Development Programme for management trainers and
consultants.
Any guidance would be highly appreciated.
