    Washington, DC meeting
    August 5, 2001 ; 10:00 to 11.30 a.m.
Hilton Washington & Towers Hotel, Farragut Room

This professional development workshop will demonstrate the use of "content
based" experiential exercises in strategic management and show how
individual accountability and assessment can be an integral part of team
    exercises.

Workshop participants will : (a) Simulate students in class and undertake
exercises in groups, (b) Participate in a general discussion on use of
experiential material, and (c) build skills in administering experiential
exercises, including conduct of de-briefing discussion. All of the
exercises will have a short overview of a strategic management theory or
concept, the team-based activity, and an assessment component. Topics for
the exercises are mission statement development, decision making at the
strategic and operational level, and global strategic alliances.

Prior registration is not required. However, if you inform the presenters
(below) about your attendance ahead of time, some advance materials can be
    mailed to you.
