    CALL FOR PAPERS

A new book series from Kluwer Academic Publishers, Innovation & Change in
Professional Education, seeks to bring together the most important
educational ideas and research from the various professions for the purpose
of cross-disciplinary fertilization. The new series provides a publication
platform for international, professionally refereed, state-of-the-art
scholarly articles on the theoretical, descriptive, and evaluative aspects
of cutting-edge innovation and change in professional education. It aims to
publish innovative books that are at the forefront of the field. Monographs
as well as collections of papers will be published.
    The series:
    * Targets issues involving educational innovation in professional and
post-secondary education (engineering, law, medicine, management, health
    sciences, etc.).
    * Provides an opportunity to publish theory, research, and practice
for those involved with educational innovation in professional education.
    * Examines methodological and technical issues that arise in the
    context of innovations.
    * Analyses how today's changes in the work of graduates and the
workplace require colleges and universities to develop new instructional
    approaches for teaching and learning.
    * Questions existing instructional methods and studies how graduates
are equipped with skills needed in professional practice.
    * Seeks for new ways of meeting the demands of the changing workplace
and explores the potential benefits of teamwork, creativity, flexibility,
decision-making at the work level, continuous learning, and the extensive
use of communication and information technology.
The book series Innovation & Change in Professional Education welcomes and
supports contributions from a range of disciplines dealing with education
for the professions, including management, law, engineering, medicine,
health, education, history, sociology, and psychology. It encourages
contributions dealing with a broad spectrum of methodologies including
qualitative and quantitative approaches, documentary study, institutional
research, action research, and conceptual development. Faculty, researchers,
professionals, consultants, staff developers, curriculum experts, and change
