Seeking Adjunct Professors at George Washington University: Saturday
Classes.
We are seeking adjunct professors to teach two masters level courses
this summer. The courses are:
Adult Learning (Human Resource Development 281). This course examines
the characteristics and needs of adults as learners, with a special
focus on strategies for learning within organizations. The text used in
this course is Merriam, S. and Caffarella, R. (1991) Learning in
adulthood. The course will meet for four hours (9 am - 1pm) on the
following Saturdays: May 12; June 2, 16, 30; July 14, 28; Aug 11, 25.
Leadership. This course examines theories and models of leadership,
with a special focus on methodologies and instruments used to assess and
develop leadership in organizations. The main text for the course is,
Yukl, G. (1994) Leadership in Organizations. The course dates are May
12; June 2, 16, 30; July 14, 28; Aug 11, 25. (The course is scheduled
to meet from 2pm - 6pm on the Saturdays listed).
The program:
Students are experienced human resource generalists, HRD specialists and
general managers working toward their masters in Human Resource
Development/Organization Development.
