    Hi folks

I just want to bring to your attention a paper development workshop to take place on the 16th July, 2018 at Bournemouth in the UK on "The Performative University: 'Target & Terror' in Academia: Implications for Business & Management Contexts". This will be run by an international set of guest editors (including myself) of the journal Management Learning SI call around this topic. The deadline for 1000word abstracts is the 15th June 2018.

The fuller details are as follows....

Paper Development Workshop Call for Papers to support the Management Learning
Special Issue Call: The Performative University - 'Targets and Terror' in Academia: Implications for Learning in Business and Management Contexts (see attached).
The Department of Leadership, Strategy & Organisations and the Special Interest Group in Critical Management Education at Bournemouth University Business School (UK) will host a Special Issue Paper Development Workshop in Bournemouth on the afternoon of July16th, 2018, 13.00-18.00, at the Sandbanks Hotel, Bournemouth. This workshop will be facilitated by the Special Issue guest editors, for authors wishing to develop their papers for the above Special Issue. Authors are invited to present and discuss their papers during the workshop and to receive feedback for further improvement of their papers. Acceptance for presentation
at the workshop does not guarantee acceptance of the paper for publication in Management Learning. To be considered for the workshop, authors will need to submit an abstract (max 1000 words, excluding references and appendices) to David Jones at the following email address: drjones@bournemouth.ac.uk, no later than June 15th, 2018. Each abstract will then
be reviewed by the Special Issue guest editors, in order to secure the required quality and relevance of the subsequent papers. The invited participants will then have the opportunity to present short developmental papers in the workshop, based on their abstract. To discuss your
paper ideas prior to submission, please feel free to contact any of the special issue editors.

Although the workshop itself is free to those selected, the attendees will need to secure their own accommodation, meals and travel expenses. N.B. Submission of a paper to this
workshop is not a precondition for submission of a full paper to the Special Issue.

Hoping to see you in beautiful Sandbanks on the South coast of England.

    Regards

    David.
