Title: Changing Times, Changing Places: Survival Skills for the Management
Educator in the New Millennium
When: Sunday 6th August 10.30am - 12.00
Where: Sheraton Huron Room (2nd floor)
Workshop facilitators: Cynthia Hardy (University of Melbourne), Ian Palmer
(University of Technology, Sydney), David Barry (University of Auckland),
Joseph Garcia (Western Washington University), Peter McGraw (Macquarie
University), Gill Palmer (University of Wollongong)
What's it about?
Like most other organizations universities are facing a variety of external
pressures to do things differently. Changing times in higher education has,
then, meant changing places with universities now moving the delivery of
education out of the traditional classroom and into the cyber world, into
the business workplace and into international locations. Entering these
new places presents traditional management educators with new challenges.
This interactive workshop is designed to identify the survival skills we
need to enable us to thrive in the new educational environment.
Come and share your own experiences about the skills we need as management
educators to best deliver education and learning in these new contexts.
Listen to experts, who are already operating in these new educational
environments, share with you their thoughts and skills. What works? What
doesn't? Why? Come and find out!
Registration: No registration is necessary - just be there! For any
further details please contact either Cynthia Hardy
