BRIEF EXPLANATION. My Inbox was corrupted following the download of messages
that had accumulated on my server during my absence. Following this
download, it was not possible to read any of them or to download any more
recent messages. The only (drastic) remedy, advised by my IP, was to delete
the entire contents of my Inbox. This solved the problem but, of course, I
have no record of messages received between 27 June and 7 July.
