The EDINEB 2001 International Conference is designed as a learning platform
for innovation across the boundaries between management education, knowledge
creation, technology or business. Our aim is to spark new ways of
understanding how these boundaries can be transformed into opportunities for
collaborative learning and high performance.
It is no accident that this year's conference is located in Nice. This
magnificent city stands out as a center for high technology. The conference
is hosted at the EDHEC School of Management, Nice campus. The environment we
have chosen offers a unique opportunity for assimilating contrasting
professional perspectives and reflecting on what matters most in sharing
knowledge.
We welcome abstract submissions on the following themes:
* New learning technologies in business and business education
* Distance delivery of innovative business education
* Self-learning skills as a key factor of success in distance learning
programs
* Individual and collaborative learning: What's specific when you can't
meet?
* The design, implementation and use of collaborative tools such as e-mail,
discussion groups, chat systems, whiteboards and shared workspaces.
* Methods of active learning
* Creative / innovative pedagogy in management education
* Team performance, team learning and team assessment
* Knowledge creation & (Re)design of knowledge management
* Research on the value of technology driven business education
Guidelines for Abstracts
Abstracts (500 word maximum) should contain author(s) name(s),
title/position, institution, address, telephone, fax number, and email
address. Abstracts will be published in the official program.

Guidelines for Publication
A selection of conference papers will be considered for publication in the
EDINEB series: Educational Innovation in Economics and Business Volume 8,
published by Kluwer Academic Publishers. Information about the EDINEB

Conference Organizers
The eighth EDINEB conference is organized in collaboration with EDHEC School
of Management (campuses in Lille and Nice), and Formations Hommes et
Conseils (Paris, France). EDHEC is one of the largest institutions for
business studies in France (http://edu.edhec.com). Formations Hommes et
Conseils (http://www.fhc.fr/) is a training and consulting firm specialized
in adult education, skills and change management consulting. The organizing
groups have an established reputation in the fields of corporate training,
business research and the development of innovative learning platforms.
The EDINEB Network
At the December 1993 EDINEB Conference (Maastricht, the Netherlands) the
EDINEB Network was founded to serve as a continual basis for exchanging
experiences and knowledge about educational innovation in economics and
business. Among the activities of this Network are workshops, providing
expertise about innovations, publications (Series on Educational Innovation
in Economics and Business, published by Kluwer Academic Publishers),
international conferences, and other forms of exchange. Network members have
served both education and industry in the development of innovative
