Meditation as a leadership practice panel symposium # 1597 Tuesday August 7th 11:30 - 1:00 - Sheraton Boston Hotel, Hampton B
http://program.aomonline.org/2012/submission.asp?mode=showsession&SessionID=456
Leadership is expected to ensure increasingly high levels of performance while dealing daily with continuously intensifying organizational complexity and disruption.
To meet this expectation - and develop the ability to foster inclusive and engaging work environments-, leaders are required to step back from events, from their thinking process
and emotional reactions as well as from their ego identity. The questions covered could be formulated as follows:
· Why do these business leaders have a formal meditation practice?
· What do they perceive this practice does for their experience of work?
· How does it affect their capabilities to lead and the skills they need on the job?
· What impact does it have on their professional environment ?
· What are the panelists' specific practices?
The panel will be facilitated by Dorianne Cotter-Lockard and Richard Major.
Warm regards,
Dorianne Cotter-Lockard and Richard Major
