ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT TORONTO WORKSHOP ( AUGUST): FOR NON-USA/CANADA MEMBERS

  • 1.  ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT TORONTO WORKSHOP ( AUGUST): FOR NON-USA/CANADA MEMBERS

The Academy of Management can be a little daunting for international
scholars, especially those not brought up in the North American academic
tradition. This workshop is for anyone in this position who'd like to
become more involved with, and play an active role in, the Academy. It's
designed to provide a forum for self-reflection, group process and, in
particular, learning from the knowledge and experience of successful mature
international members of AoM those who've "done it." It will help you
explore ways in which you can become a full part of the AoM.

The workshop is for non-USA/Canada members of the Academy of Management in
both their early career stages -- assistant professors, lecturers, PhD
students -- and in mid-career. Members of all divisions are welcome. It will
start with presentations by the panelists, and then move to small-group
discussion involving panelists and fellow workshop participants.

    Panelists:
    Morten Huse (Europe - Scandinavia)
    Andrew Pettigrew (UK)
    Simcha Ronen (Israel)
    Harry Barkema (Europe)
    Kwok Leung (Far East)

    Sunday, August 6th, 10 12 am.

Co-sponsored by IM, MED and CAR; Facilitators: Yehuda Baruch and Hugh Gunz
