I would like to know what the best way to go about conducting a job
analysis is. COuld list members let me know successful procedures they
have carried out or point me in the direction of accurate and relevant
    information?

    Thanks

There is a listserv dedicated to discussion of job analysis. To subscribe,
send an email to listserv@listserv.vt.edu with

    subscribe jobanalysis Charlotte Bowden

in the body (the subject line doesn't matter). You may want to post your
question there, as it is monitored by many of the leading thinkers in the
    field.

You might also want to read the job analysis chapter in the Handbook of
Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I'm blanking on the editors' names
right now, but the JA chapter is by R.J. Harvey. RJ's "Job Analysis and
Personality" web site is at http://harvey.psyc.vt.edu.

    Hope this helps!
