Doctoral Institute
The OBTC Doctoral Institute (DI) is a one-day, pre-conference workshop dedicated to providing promising new teacher-scholars with personal and professional development opportunities. The goals of the DI are to help participants explore a path to goal accomplishment in their academic lives and build a lasting network of fellow emerging teacher-scholars. DI participants will experience close interpersonal interaction with prominent management scholars who have successfully balanced the demands of teaching, research, service, and personal life.
When:
The DI attendees arrive on Tuesday afternoon for a meet-and-greet with the Board of Directors and then proceed to a group dinner. The DI workshop itself begins on Wednesday morning and lasts the entire day.
Early Educator Institute
The OBTS Teaching Society for Management Educators maintains the Early Educator Institute Scholarship, created from generous contributions of its members and allocations by its Board of Directors, to facilitate the attendance of early educators to the OBTC EEI and the OBTC conference. Full scholarships with additional travel assistance will be offered on a competitive basis. All application information will remain confidential. Applications are due February 1st; decisions will be made by March 1st.
When:
The EEI attendees arrive on Tuesday afternoon for a meet-and-greet with the Board of Directors and then proceed to a group dinner. The EEI workshop itself begins on Wednesday morning and lasts the entire day.
