    Hey Mg-Ed-Dv-ers,

The hottest play in New York currently is Hamilton.  Professor Dolly Chugh's video interview of its director in her Managerial Skills class at Stern (my alma mater) is a pleasant conduit of topics for our students to mull over in a Victorian dinner talk sort of way: https://youtu.be/Z_SB04XFqz0 .  Topics like the inspirational role of managers and the need to create an environment (culture) that enables and pushes people to be their best.  Selecting high quality people--but not ones with a dollop of negativity--was interestingly parsed.  Issues related to maintaining a successfully launched show and parsing other opportunities by understanding your bandwidth were interesting.  Advice like do not do a job as a favor rather than because it is project you just have to do.  (It was interesting to see how the ideas came out of an interwoven discourse so that both Dolly and Tommy were telling us the case study as a shared voice rather than that sort of ping pong interview where the interviewer is in a different universe).

    All the best,

    Charles Wankel
