    PROFESSOR OF STRATEGY ¬ OPEN RANK, McMASTER UNIVERSITY

    The DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, invites applications
    for a tenure-track or appointment with tenure in the Strategic Management
    Area. Rank is open but preference will be given to Associate and Full
    Professor candidates. The appointment will commence July 1, 2017, although
    an earlier appointment date may be possible.

    Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated competency in
    research initiatives and outcomes, including peer-reviewed journal
    publications, conference presentations, and securement of grants. Evidence
    of excellence in teaching is also a must. Candidates will have a PhD in
    Strategic Management or a related field with, ideally, cross-over interests
    or research proficiency in data analytics or health services management.

    The DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University recently adopted a

    Applicants must have a strong background knowledge and skills in theory and
    research methods and an ability to apply the same in addressing issues of

    interested in individuals with outstanding research skills as well as a
    passion for teaching.

    The DeGroote School of Business strives to create a strong, supportive and
    collegial research culture, building the research capacity of faculty and
    graduate students. We are one of six faculties at McMaster and we believe
    in experiential learning: complementing classroom studies with hands-on
    experience. The School has over 2,300 undergraduate students, 600 MBAs, 60
    PhDs and 70 full-time faculty.

    The School hosts three research centres and a number of research chairs
    that provide value to business and contribute to the prosperity of society
    at large. DeGroote operates at two campuses, the McMaster University main
    campus in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada) and a new state-of-the-art facility in
    nearby Burlington, Ontario, housing the MBA and executive programs. The
    successful candidate is expected to be active at both locations, teaching
    undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Strategy and/or International
    Business as well as teaching in the School¹s professionally oriented
    executive development programs and/or Director¹s College.
