    I have today received the attached announcement, which may be of
    interest to some members of the list. The announcement includes a
    brief introductory letter from Dr. Frank Tsong and some informa-
    tion about the teaching opportunity at Yang-En university.

    Dr. Tsong departs for China tomorrow (or today - depending on
    your location), and tel/fax contact information at Yang-En Uni-
    versity is provided in the announcement. He can also be contacted
    at his e-mail address in Vancouver. Messages to that site will be

    May I introduce myself as a retired instructor of Medicine Hat
    College, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. I am now with Yang-En
    University in China serving as a vice president and I am looking
    for help to find instructors for our University. I would appreci-
    ate it very much if you would pass on the following information
    to your retired professors, teachers or anyone who may be inter-

    Instructors Needed, An experience of a lifetime!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    A Business University, built by overseas Chinese, located on the
    southeast coast of China across from Taiwan. The University is
    three years old and offers courses in International Trade, Inter-
    national Economics, International Finance, Accounting, Enterprise
    Management, Economic Information management, and Marketing.
    Since the University uses English as the language of instruction
    for students in their junior and senior years.

    Instructors are needed for February 1997 and September 1997 in
    the following areas: English (Conversation, reading, writing,
    grammar), Accounting, Enterprise management, Auditing, Banking,
    International trade, Economic laws, Finance, Insurance, Market-
    ing, English and other business related courses.

    The positions are permanent with a minimum of one academic year
    (10 months). Our academic year is from September 1 to June 30
    with first semester from September 1 - January 15 and second
    semester from February - to June 30. (Note from Mac: The start
    date in February was lost when the original document arrived)

    The University provides each instructor (or family) with:
    1. A free furnished apartment.
    2. Economy return air fare up to U$1,000..
    3. Tax-free salary of 2400 rmb a month (about US $300)*
    * The cost of living in China is very low, one can hire a
    full time house maid for about US$60 a month and the cost
    of food for an average western family of two is about
    US$50.
