Hi Jacob,
We have a dedicated person in our School of Business who is in charge of all conventional experiential learning (i.e., pragmatist approaches such as internships, practica). Outside of that, faculty can plan and implement their own less or non-conventional experiential learning ourselves (e.g., critical praxis approaches or embodied approaches e.g., student experiences related to understanding poverty).
However, just this year, our University President undertook an external review of all of our experiential learning, and we now have one person for our whole university who reports directly to our Provost/Vice-President academic who is in charge of experiential learning for all departments/faculties. i.e., We want to ensure every single student, regardless of discipline/area of study gets to have at least one experiential learning opportunity (e.g., internships, practica, etc.). That one person is building our offerings/placements, etc. and likely we will maintain our responsible individuals within certain departments (e.g., business, education, nursing, social work, forensics).
Best wishes,
Sheldene

Dear colleagues,
I hope your semester is progressing well.
I have a question related to a rough idea lurking in my head: does any of the business schools/colleges you know has a specific role that is focused on Experiential Learning? Does anyone know of a centre within a business school dedicated to such range of activities, which would run across different subjects and areas?
Warm regards,
Jacob
