    MG-ED-DV netters:
I am cross-posting this call that I received over OBTS-L for your
    convience:

Subject: International O.B.T. Conference - Cape Town 1997

    THEME: "BREAKING THE CHAINS"
Managing Organizational Change in the 21st Century".

This is a unique international conference which allows academics,
training and development practitioners, management consultants,
managers and students, to discuss, debate and share through
workshops, focus sessions and conversation hours around three
    sub-themes.
    * International perspectives on OB teaching
    - cross cultural perspectives
    - comparative themes
    * Pedagogical issues raised by cultural diversity, employment equity
    and affirmative action.
    - how to teach a diverse group of students
    - reconciliation of your perspective with those of your students
    - could your programme be upholding the discriminatory practices
which employment equity and affirmative action seek to challenge
    - what is and should there be accelerated development?
    * Organizational redesign and new organizational forms in the 21st
    Century
    - how do we prepare our students?
    - what do we teach?
    - how do we teach this?
    - how do we teach managers to form organizations?

This conference is about BREAKING THE CHAINS from the old to the new
    - looking at things differently, transforming and rejoicing in our
    differences.
