To: Anne Barry (digest Jan 19) and others interested in Masters Programs
The University of Hartford (http://uhavax.hartford.edu/~barney) offers a M.S.
in Organizational Behavior program which stresses the management of change,
innovation, collaboration, and understanding the individual, team, and
organizational levels of behavior. There is both an applied and theoretical
focus--lots of hands-on projects for courses. 37 credits; most students are
parttimers, but 5-10 come fulltime. Graduate assistantships are available for
fulltime students. While Training and Development are not in the degree
designation, most of our courses deal with training, development, growth,
leadership and organization change. We do offer a specific course on Training
as well. Please take a look at our web site (under Graduate Programs on the
University of Hartford site) and/or contact

We have over 400 alumni scattered over New England (primarily), the U.S., and a
number of other countries (Malaysia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Denmark, Spain,
Turkey, etc.) and a number of recent graduates in Ph.D. programs (including
Case, Carnegie, UMass, and SUNY-Albany). The program began in 1972 and has
continued to provide a positive learning environment for managers, HR
professionals, consultants, career changers, career re-entry people, and others
who want to understand human and organizational behavior better in order to
improve the workplace and grow and develop personally.
