Actually I am using the beta Netscape 4.0.
In reply mode the priority setting/changing is disabled
    (grayed out pullover).

Good lesson for us all. If you don't want priority flagged
messages... don't send any responses to an original high
flagged priority or flag an original message high or
    pray Netscape changes this feature.

This reply is still going to go out high. Check your messaging
settings to make sure you are in normal mode before doing
    original sends.

OK. Actually I think it is a setting in Eudora. You can choose to
automatically respond at the same priority. Under misc. or soemthing.
    Didn't mean to sound crabby.

Nope. Nothing you could do obviously.;-)
Am on several lists out there <grin>
Bet my sig. looks 'mighty familiar to most.
This is the only list that on which this has occurred.
    Coincidence? Maybe.

Anyone else on lists where this strange reflagging occurs?

And here all I wanted to do was second Dutch's
    comments.
I was trying to do good. Welll best intentions....

    With great optimism too.

Ever since I subscribed to this list, I have been trying to figure out why
messages from this list are flagged with the highest priority. Until I saw
that somebody else had this "problem" I thought I had overlooked something.

I am an experienced user of both Netscape and Eudora Pro, and I know how to
filter messages. (I even teach an Internet course.) It seems to me that
somehow these messages arrive with the priority already set.

It would be nice if we could find out why and how the priority goes from
    "normal" to "highest."

    Thanks.

Since I am working with Pine in a linux environment, I hope it is nothing
I am doing 'cause I don't know how to mark a message high priority or low
    priority for that matter.

As Pine is a generic system, why not try for a customized system; there
are plenty being advertised and I'm gonna look for one for my virtual company
    too! K. Kemper
