"Upsize!"
"Group's purpose is to help men network, find new jobs"
by Bill Maples, News-Sentinel staff writer
_______________________________________________________________
Beginning of Article:
"The word 'downsize' has several meanings, most of them
bad, for Americans who draw a regular paycheck.
Firings, layoffs, cuts in pay, and most of all, loss of hope.
Now a group of men in Knoxville has teamed up to counteract
the effects of downsizing. It's called 'Upsize!,' and it is intended
to replenish a man's soul and spirit as much as it aims to increase
the chances of job security..." [long article follows]
...
Contact people [my comment: very notable, credentialed people locally]
"Anyone needing information on Upsize! should call Bill Yoder
at [phone #] or Ed Wallick at [phone #]
[Since I am posting to the list I have omitted the phone
#s without direct the above's permission, even though written in
newspaper.}
Please see me directly for informational details or find
a copy of our paper.
[My comments: Even though this is a group for men I believe
women could benefit from a group of this kind for women.
I hope, and believe, that this group concept can only do
good, solid networking, the way networking is meant to
be most helpful.]
God Bless them in their pursuits!
