    Dear folks,

We've all been looking for studies to prove
that technology (and computers) are effective
tools in education. Check out the below
from the good ol' Department of Education - US

A gentle reminder and thanks to all that have
    sent me their sites.

If you have any good cites of sites re:
technical and vocational studies, I am
gathering links for my resource page for the
Mining Co. which will be going live in early
    April.

Send me your URL and a brief 4 line descriptor
    of your cite, site :)

    TIA
    Pat

    Pat,

An excellent Listserv dealing with technology and education,
particularly distance learning , is CCAC-L

To subscribe, send a message to
    listserv%vccscent.bitnet@vtbit.cc.vt.edu

leave the subject line blank. In the body of the message, type

    Subscribe CCAC-L <your first name><your last name>

You should quickly receive back confirmation of your addition to the
list. I can't remember at the moment whether or not Archives of former
discussions exist. However, I have a file tucked away with some other
cites I've picked up from this source and would be glad to extract and
send some of those to you as soon as this Kentucky basketball game is over.
