Will the natural processes of aging signal decline or an opportunity
to harvest years of knowledge building and experience?
Both presenters have been working on this topic, and plan to
continue this discussion at the OBTC (Organizational Behavior Teaching
Conference) 1997 session. They want to create a forum for thoughts
and dialogue on this topic. In order to fully prepare for OBTC 1997,
Burack and Mathys are asking for input. They believe that one of the
strengths of the organization is to help members grow and develop
through the changing times:
What must be done to establish and maintain work-life situations
such that we experience meaningfulness and add value to those with
whom we interact? What role can MED play in facilitating change?
We are asking MEDers to share a personal and/or professional
perspectives related to this aging phenomenon. It may be your own or
concerning someone you know. These experiences and perspectives will
be summarized and presented at our session at OBTC 1997 . Other
people will be contacted as well, to get a broader set of perspectives
of this topic.
So that you don't totally tie up the list ( we expect a lot of
you to help us!), please send your responses via e mail to:
jstrauss@ben.edu Thank you in advance for your time and input.
