    MED's doctoral consortium on teaching that is open to ALL divisions of the
    Academy. Please let your doctoral students know about this opportunity.

    MED's annual Doctoral Consortium helps doctoral students improve their
    teaching effectiveness. Participants will hear from master educators,
    discuss a variety of teaching issues and meet other doctoral students
    interested in teaching. The Consortium is open to all doctoral students
    who are in the early stages of their teaching careers.

    The Doctoral Consortium will be held from 12:30 to 6:30 pm on Saturday,
    August 9 at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Boston,
    Massachusetts.

    The deadline for registration is May 30, 1997. To register, please
    submit:
    1. A letter of application including your name, areas of teaching
    interest, stage in doctoral program, address, phone, fax, and e-mail
    address
    2. Your resume or curriculum vita
    3. One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your doctoral
    program who is familiar with your teaching interests

    development as teachers and scholars
    +Take away solutions to real classroom issues
    +Exchange ideas with peers, master teachers, and scholars
    WHO: Currently enrolled doctoral students are invited to apply and
    participate
    WHEN: Saturday August 8, 1998
    WHERE: 1998 Academy of Management Annual Meeting San Diego
    APPLY: Send a letter of application and packet composed of:
    1.Letter of application to include name, areas of teaching
    interest,
    stage in doctoral program, address, phone, fax, e-mail
    2.Resume/vitae
    3.One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your
    doctoral program

    DEADLINE: Space is limited and preregistration is required.
    Please apply no later than May 15th, 1998
