The Program Advisory Committee for the 1998 ASTD International
Conference and Exposition invites you to share your experiences and
expertise with your peers in the field of training and performance.
By sharing your experiences you make a valuable contribution to the
profession's field of knowledge. The Program Advisory Committee is
seeking proposals that reflect:
* strategies for human performance improvement
* leading-edge information as it relates to training and performance
* innovative uses of technology to deliver training
* ways to measure and evaluate training and performance
* tools and techniques for skill development
* case studies of successful practices from companies and government
agencies around the world
* emerging trends in the training and performance field
For the 1998 Conference the committee will place a heavy emphasis on
selecting sessions that focus on technology applications as well as
human performance improvement.
The main areas of focus for the 1998 ASTD International Conference
include: Performance Improvement, Technology Applications, Measuring
and Evaluating Training and Performance, Training Basics, Managing
Change, Management and Leadership Development, and Workplace Issues.
There may be topics that might not fall within the areas previously
described. The Program Advisory Committee encourages the submission of
proposals on other topics which you feel should be included in the
conference program.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is August 1, 1997. The
instructions for preparing and submitting a proposal, as well as
selection criteria, conference policies, and other information can be
