    This is a case study in which I used pre & post measures to demonstrate the financial impact of management development:

    Shipper, F., and Neck, C.P. (1990). "Subordinates' Observations: Feedback for Management Development." Human Resource Development Quarterly, Volume 1, Number 4, pp. 371-384.

    In addition, this is a paper that I have done that showed a direct connection between managerial skills and managerial effectiveness through the use of structural equations modeling:

    Shipper, F., & Davy, J. (1996). *A Comparative Study of Women*s and Men*s Self Perceptions of Managerial Skills and Their Impact on Other*s Perceptions, Employee Attitudes and Managerial Performance.* Winner of the Walter F. Ulmer, Jr. Applied Research Award from the Center for Creative Leadership.
