    Jack,

    Subject: Multimedia delivery

This is a request for information and contacts, not a pitch.

Do you have any experience or contacts with companies supporting internet
multimedia or other internet-based training delivery? I saw a demonstration
of a system last week that integrates text, video, and slides on a single
computer screen. The thing that is intriguing about it is that it can be
searched, which allows the user to do a query on a topic then pick up the
video and slides at the point where the topic is discussed. Another
interesting feature is the sound speed can be adjusted within a fairly
significant range with no distortion, which allows non-native English
speakers to slow a speaker down so they can comprehend what is being said,
and it allows you to "fast forward" through something to find what you
want. This can either be streamed from a server or distributed on CDs.
Are you aware of other companies that can deliver this kind of integrated
    system?

I am working on a project where we are developing an integrated
information resources solution (policies, ethics, training, coaching) in
conjunction with a major change, and I need to identify companies that can
provide internet solutions. I thought subscribers to this list might know
of other service providers that have these capabilities. The client
company I am working with can potentially put significant resources into
the right kind of integrated system.

Thanks for any suggestions. Please respond to me directly rather than to
the list. I will summarize the responses and repost.
